Active, Eventful Travelling |
| |
| |
On a Suntrek tour, you’ll share experiences with a small group of up to
13 international travelers and stay overnight (camping or lodging) next
to scenic spots like the Grand Canyon, ghost towns, Indian reservations
and many other wonderful sights. We travel in specially customized
maxi-vans, equipped with all the necessary gear – all you have to take
along is spending money, personal belongings and a sense of adventure
and humor!
Each tour is accompanied by a trained leader/driver who will also
arrange optional activities such as hikes, trail rides, scenic fl ights, river
rafting, etc. On a SUNTREK tour the level of adventure is your choice
– we offer it all! On camping tours the food costs are kept low by
forming a “kitty” – each passenger contributes around US$ 35 per
week – breakfasts and mouth-watering evening meals are prepared,
fresh each day at camp – barbecued chicken & steaks, pasta, salads
– vegetarian meals too!
All tours offer terrifi c value for independent minded, “young at heart”
travelers, looking to explore “off the beaten track”. SUNTREK tours
“open up” a diverse landscape – whether on the highway, or a barely
maneuverable dirt road … you’ll see every sight worth seeing! Trek
across the country like the “old pioneers”. With SUNTREK you’ll cross
burning deserts and towering mountain ranges, follow the footsteps of
ancient civilizations and visit isolated villages, discover amazing stone
formations and carved rock canyons, visit famous national parks and
lush rainforests, and seek out wilderness, wildlife and other cultures!
Above all, you’ll be able to get involved in activities that will help make
your trip the adventure of a lifetime. |

Why Small Groups? |
| |
| |
Traveling in a small group of no more than 13 people gives you …
… lots of freedom – much like you would have if you were traveling with friends.
… safety, security and the right amount of pre-planning that independent travel lacks.
… a choice of activities and additional sites along the way.
… the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.
… more time because you don’t have to drive around looking for attractions yourself.
… even more time because you don’t have to wait around for a big bus group to get moving. |

Enjoying and Caring about Nature |
| |
| |
On a SUNTREK tour, we discover the beauty of nature, visit awesome national parks and natural wonders. We spend time on nature hikes and outdoor activities. Suntrekkers express their caring about the environment by traveling with a “leave no trace” attitude. Especially on our camping tours, impact on the environment is minimized by adhering to the following environment-friendly practices: |
| |
| |
• staying in tents instead of energy-consuming hotel rooms
•camping in designated areas, not disturbing nature reserves
•water conservation
•recycling
•minimizing trash
•biodegradable cleaning products
On all Suntrek tours we hike on marked hiking trails and we use fuel-efficient and low-emission vehicles. Keep in
mind that group travel uses less fuel per visitor than individual travel in a rental car. You can offset the environmental
impact of your flight’s emissions at www.climatecare.org. Last but not least SUNTREK’s catalogs are printed on
chlorine-free bleached paper produced with FSC-wood from well-managed forests, wood from controlled sources
and recycled wood or fiber. |
