Successful SUNTREK trek leaders are active outgoing people who love working with multi-cultural groups of people and have a sense of fun and adventure. You must be able to be on the road for up to four months and lead a series of consecutive treks. Group travel can be exciting and rewarding; however it requires patience, flexibility, and strong leadership skills.   Qualified applicants are asked to join one of our training camps. SUNTREK operates professional training camps. Our first training camp start mid-April. Further training camps are operated every 3 weeks through July. You will get hands on training in all aspects of trek leading and practice all the daily tasks and activities a trek leader performs. This includes set up and breakdown of camp, the delegation of cooking and cleaning tasks, loading and unloading the roof rack, arranging daily itineraries and activities, leading a group of travelers, and handling the various problems that can arise during a trek. You will learn how to fix a camp stove, set up a tent, and receive instruction on the safe operation of the van and much more. During your training you will be staying at campgrounds, living the life of a trek leader. SUNTREK provides your training and accommodations.
